JOB VACANCY

Job Title: Approved Premises Deputy Manager
Location: Luton
Hours: Full-time (37½ hours per week)
Reference: 08/144
Salary: Band 5 - £33,232 - £37,782 per annum dependent on experience (pay award pending)

Our Approved Premises (previously known as Probation and Bail Hostels) based in Luton currently provides 20 beds for male offenders; all residents are aged 18 years and over and are subject to a Court Order or on licensed release from prison, some of whom may have committed serious offences. The aim of Approved Premises is to provide a structured and supportive environment. The premises are managed by an Approved Premises Manager who is responsible for both its day-to-day running as well as the overall development of the hostel regime.

The Deputy Manager will work in conjunction with the Manager to ensure the effective management and the day to day organisation of the Approved Premises. There are also Assistant Wardens and Waking Night Staff who provide cover and work directly with residents, on a 24-hour basis. The Deputy Manager will also be part of the on-call management rota, currently one week in four. Teamwork is critical to the successful running of the Approved Premises, and all staff have a key role to play in ensuring that the residents are managed safely and that public protection within the local community is a priority.
